How can i sort windows file by a predetermind list. VLookup for windows file and retain that order so i can convert to combined PDF

How can I rearrange a file name. If file name Reads John-Footer-568794-AUG21-2019 how can I write code or is there a process for moving the AUG21 to the front of the file name and then the "568794" after that. So that the file name reads "AUG21-568794-John-Footer-2019" I would need to do this to 100s of files in a folder. Is this a thing that can be done?
