I imported a database using a sql file on 1and1.com... The end message from the host is

When you do lots of inserting and deleting, the database gets to be bigger than it should be. 当您进行大量插入和删除操作时，数据库将变得比其应有的更大。 If you backup and then restore it, you are compacting the space used. 如果先备份然后还原，则表示正在压缩使用的空间。
About the row numbers, if your tables are innodb , then the number of records is approximate. 关于行号，如果您的表是innodb ，那么记录数是近似值。
