What I'm trying to do is for testing purpose load up http://www.stackoverflow.com in my app and navigate on the website. The following code returns two errors:

"Cannot make a static reference to the non-static method findViewById(int) from the type Activity MainActivity.java /Feed.it/src/com/themeister/feed/it line 168 Java Problem" and "webView cannot be resolved MainActivity.java /Feed.it/src/com/themeister/feed/it line 169 Java Problem" Any help I can get is appreciated

You have this

   WebView wv = (WebView)findViewById(R.id.webView);

in fragment. findViewById is a method of your activity class.

I suggest you have webview in your fragment xml and use the below

   WebView wv = (WebView)rootView.findViewById(R.id.webView);
