I have succesfully installed net_geoIP with the built in PEAR extension installer for apache but it does not do what I need it to do.

You'd need to ask your hosting provider to install it for you. 您需要请您的托管服务提供商为您安装它。 If they are not willing to do it, you may need a new hosting provider. 如果他们不愿意这样做，则可能需要新的托管服务提供商。
