Question

I am testing a simple maven project, which needs to download Jboss Java EE 7, but it fails to do that. The error message is:

[ERROR] Failed to execute goal on project test: Could not resolve dependencies for project com.company:test:war:1.0-SNAPSHOT: Failure to find org.jboss.spec:jboss-javaee-7.0:jar:1.0.3.Final in https://repo.maven.apache.org/maven2 was cached in the local repository, resolution will not be reattempted until the update interval of central has elapsed or updates are forced -> [Help 1]

Try using force download

mvn clean install -U

-U means force update of dependencies.

Also artifacts are present here

The artifact is there, but it is not a jar (the default), it is a zip . Moreover, it seems to have a classifier ( source-release ) attached. Provided that this is indeed the dependency you want, you need to specify your dependency like this:
