Wamp Server：拒绝执行PHP代码

Question

My wamp server was working fine today, then out of nowhere, it prompted me to open my PHP files.

Now instead of executing my PHP code, it always wants to open it as a file instead. This shows me a screen of the PHP code (like view source), except its not running it.

I have spent several hours trying to debug the issue but was unsuccessful. One thing to note, which is very important, when I go to localhost, it prompts me to open a file. When I go to phpmyadmin, it prompts me to open a file

This lead me to believe that my php is not executing with my server.

I have tried restarting wamp. I have tried checking the php version and they are the same. I have tried uncommenting certain PHP handlers (but they were already uncommented). I have tried adding handlers, no avail. I have tried editing the .htaccess file. Nothing.

It seems everything is in working order, except the server just absolutely refuses to execute the php code. What can I do here???

Remove these lines and restart Apache:

I don't have them in my config file and when I added them, the same problem appears.

The simple answer is as @RayRabin suggests

The association of .php file to the PHP interpreter is made a few lines above in the httpd.conf file... here

So when you add these 2 lines

AddHandler application/x-httpd-php .php .phtml
AddHandler x-httpd-php .php .phtml

It causes your error

Now you could argue that the AddHandler method is better so if you want to use that method you have to remove these 2 line as mentioned above

Also using both your new lines causes a different problem, so if you just have the AddHandler application/x-httpd-php .php .phtml line on its own it also works.

Another error you have introduced

Comment out this line

#PHPIniDir D:/wamp/bin/php/php5.5.12

As this is pointing Apache to the wrong place for the php.ini file. In WAMPServer, the php.ini file that Apache should be using is automatically copied into \\wamp\\bin\\apache\\apache{version}\\bin by the WAMPServer software. Well since WAMPServer 2.5 it actually creates SYMLINKS in that folder to the correct file in the active PHP version folder.

The correct file is \\wamp\\bin\\php\\php{version}\\phpForApache.ini but you should not use the PHPIniDir directive as Apache will find the php.ini file if it is in its own bin folder.

This may sound a little complex, but it is done this way because, as you can have many versions of Apache and PHP available in WAMPServer and switch between them at will. So WAMPServer makes sure it has the right php.ini file in the Apache \\bin folder when you switch versions of Apache or PHP.

If you try and override or circumnavigate that process, it will just get you into this kind of trouble.

PS I installed your httpd.conf into my WAMPServer, and got exactly your errors, but with the above mentioned fixes it works again.
