无法访问该站点centos7

Question

I am new to node js and this is the first time I try to run node server on centos7 server. This is the code in my file:

const app = express();


//setting
app.set('port', process.env.PORT || 3000);



app.listen(app.get('port'), () => {
    console.log('server on port ', app.get('port'));
});

For some reason I get This site can't be reached error while trying to load http://*********:3000

I foloewd this question but couldn't resolve the error.

I placed this string in the terminal iptables -A INPUT -p tcp --dport 3000 -j ACCEPT

The problem was that I didn't opened the port in the firewall in the server.

what I did was set port 3000 as mpublic:

[root@aaa ~]# firewall-cmd --zone=public --add-port=3000/tcp --permanent than I reloded the firewall:

[root@aaa ~]# firewall-cmd --reload

and that's all folks
