I am trying to clone a project from a github repository by link.

What IDE version do you use? 您使用哪个IDE版本？ There used to be an issue with missing/wrong git client installed - Clone failed silently in that case - see https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/IDEA-135954 过去曾因缺少/错误的git客户端安装而出现问题-在这种情况下克隆静默失败-请参阅https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/IDEA-135954
