I installed VS 2008 and then installed SQL server 2005 and choose desktop tools but Management Studio does not show up.

You need to install SQL then visual studio; 您需要先安装SQL，然后再安装Visual Studio； until V2008 SP1 that was the case for SQL 2008 as well. 直到V2008 SP1为止，SQL 2008也是如此。 You might be able to add the tools using add remove programs; 您可能可以使用添加删除程序来添加工具。 if that doesnt work remove VS2008; 如果不起作用，请删除VS2008； install management tools; 安装管理工具； install VS2008 again. 再次安装VS2008。

Are you talking about the SQL Management Studio? 您在谈论SQL Management Studio吗？ I just downloaded it and installed it rather than wasting my time with the installer on the VS disc. 我只是下载并安装它，而不是在VS光盘上浪费安装时间。 It's available somewhere on MS's site. 它可以在MS网站上找到。
