I am trying to run a query on the logs in Azure Log Analytics workspace but don't see any data for any duration.

Yes, the Alert table in Log Analytics contains information about alerts created by log alerts rules and SCOM alerts collected through Alert Management solution.是的，Log Analytics 中的警报表包含有关由日志警报规则创建的警报和通过警报管理解决方案收集的 SCOM 警报的信息。
You can view and manage your metrics alerts from the Azure portal by navigating to: Monitor > Alerts > Total alerts and looking at the ones which have Signal Type as Metric .您可以从 Azure 门户中查看和管理您的指标警报，方法是导航到： Monitor > Alerts > Total alerts alerts 并查看 Signal Type 为Metric的警报。
