从 Apache NiFi 迁移到 Informatica Powercenter

Question

We are planning to migrate our existing flow in Apache NiFi to Informatica PowerCenter. Could you guys please suggest whether it is feasible or not. Please do also provide the possible challenges and what could be all the possible way to implement it.

I am expecting the proper solution.

Good choice, Informatica is in ETL tool whereas Nifi(Data Flow Manager) is EL with light T tool.

my tow cents are-

Informatica is better than Nifi if you are looking for -

1. complex ETL operation - involving various data sources/files/web services etc. You can do ELT as well.
2. better performance. Informatica Powercenter is built for ETL purpose so the performance is considerably better compared to any other ETL or Data Movement tool.
3. a lot of helps on development. A lot of transformations are available to accomplish any kind of job.
4. a thick client based UI with less lag/disconnects.

Nifi is better than Informatica if you are looking for -

1. a purely web based UI tool. So, you dont have to install lot of client software and switch between clients while developing.
2. working with JSON/Streaming/Image/Videos/Sensor/IoT data etc.
3. light transformations over complex ETL from multiple heterogeneous sources.
4. something that focuses on the task of connecting between data storage, data processing systems and providing the user experience and core functions necessary to do that well.
