I have an ActiveRecord called Name
which contains names in various Languages

It sounds like you might want to use a many-to-many relationship between Language and Name instead of has_many/belongs_to. 听起来您可能想要使用语言和名称之间的多对多关系而不是has_many / belongs_to。
