i have a multi-threaded notification-service which uses a simple protocol.

Actually 4 means End of Transmission, so that should be the expected behaviour for a telnet session. 实际上4表示传输结束，因此这应该是telnet会话的预期行为。 (I guess it will stop sending 4s as soon as the socket really is closed) （我想一旦插座真正关闭，它将停止发送4s）
