I am unable to save a file to the local file system using the TiddlySaver.jar applet under MacOSX 10.7.5 and Safari 6.0.2.

The menu item you're thinking of disabled restrictions on Javascript. 您正在考虑禁用Javascript限制的菜单项。 It does not affect Java applets. 它不影响Java小程序。
Your issues are more likely to be because Apple temporarily blacklisted versions of the Java plugin prior to Java 7 update 11 from loading at all . 您的问题更有可能是因为Apple根本没有将Java 7更新11之前的Java插件版本列入黑名单 。 (Mozilla took similar measures for Firefox.)
