I ask this question as I have a WordPress blog on an Nginx server that clearly has an .htacess file;

Just because there's a .htaccess file in the folder doesn't mean it's being used in any way by nginx. 仅仅因为文件夹中有一个.htaccess文件，并不意味着nginx会以任何方式使用它。
