I am trying to develop windows desktop application.

The first thing you'll need is a compiler. 您需要的第一件事是编译器。 These come together with the SDK and install it for you. 这些与SDK一起提供并为您安装。 You don't normally install the SDK standalone, because without a compiler/IDE you'll not be able to use it. 您通常不会独立安装SDK，因为没有编译器/ IDE，您将无法使用它。
