I have a situation in which I need to update the current developer pending release build without changing my app version to the App Store.

We have release 1.0.0 in iTunes Connect and it's not published, but Apple approved the build so it is in the Pending Developer Release status. 我们已经在iTunes Connect中发布了1.0.0，但尚未发布，但是Apple批准了该版本，因此它处于“待处理开发人员发布”状态。

Yes , you can keep the current version number after rejecting the current release build. 是的 ，您可以在拒绝当前发行版本后保留当前版本号。
