Question

The below demo code its working perfect on page load. But when I try to implement into live website its not working without alert() . I checked in console no error shown in the website.

It looks like you're trying to scroll down when the page is loading.

Try using:

$(document).ready(function() {
  $('html,body').animate({scrollTop:500},800);
});

Reason for that is when you load resources from a remote server, it takes some time to load compared to local.

When you add an alert at the top, DOM gets extra time to load before your code executes.

Solution :

1. Put your script (which does not work) after </body> tag. Then it executes after all the body elements are parsed.

2. Use $(document).ready() instead

   or

3. Use setTimeout()
