I'm trying to add links to a Microsoft Word(docx) document with the python-docx library. How can I do that?

Something like:

from docx import Document


document = Document()
document.add_heading('Document Title', 0)
p = document.add_paragraph('☺◦☺☺☻☻A plain paragraph')
p.add_run('bold').bold = True
p.add_run(' and some ')
p.add_run('italic.').italic = True

p.add_hyperlink('my link', 'http://example.com/')  # this one is missing


document.save('demo.docx')

this feature still seems to be a work in progress [ 1 ], though there are many snippets added by the community like this one for example, that might serve as a workaround [ 2 ]
