WordPress admin user is unable to reach frontend. WordPress appends '/admin' after 'example.com' for admin users

WordPress appends '/admin' after 'example.com' when an admin user is active. This makes it impossible for the admin user to reach the front end of the website.

I have the following plugins activated: - Advanced Custom Fields - Check Email - User Role Editor - WP Gebruiker Manager

Deactivating the "Peter's Login Redirect" plugin has not solved the problem.

In case it seems impossible to find the cause for the problem: How does one make the site URL always be followed by a variable?

Many thanks to anyone who likes to look into my situation!

As the Plugin "Peter's Login Redirect" is installed and activated, its configuration may redirect all users logged in as "admin" to this URL. Checking the Configuration of this plugin may solve the problem.
