Magento 2 Can't Install Sample Data

Question

Magento 2 Sample Data suddenly stopped at this junction @ "Module'Magento_DownloadableSampleData':" during installation.

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 3449720 bytes) in C:\\wamp64\\www\\magento\\vendor\\magento\\module-downloadable-samp le-data\\Model\\Product\\Converter.php on line 103

Have tried every solution but doesn't work for me. But when I check memory limit with using php -r "echo ini_get('memory_limit').PHP_EOL; Discovered I have 128M. Off which have changed every files that have to do with memory_limit to 2048M.

I'm not really sure what I can do to alleviate this issue. Please someone help me

Well -- clearly not every file, because your memory limit it still set wrong. (which is super easy to do with PHP)

When I'm faced with this problem I use

$ php --ini
Configuration File (php.ini) Path: /usr/local/etc/php/7.3
Loaded Configuration File:         /usr/local/etc/php/7.3/php.ini
Scan for additional .ini files in: /usr/local/etc/php/7.3/conf.d
Additional .ini files parsed:      /usr/local/etc/php/7.3/conf.d/ext-opcache.ini

to get a list of every ini file that the command line version of PHP knows about. Then I perform a grep search for the memory_limit in all possible locations. In the above example, all the ini files live under the same directory so the following is sufficient.

# -O follow symbolic links
# -i case insensative grep
# -r search recursivly through folders
$ grep -O -i -r memory_limit /usr/local/etc/php/7.3

Give that a try, and I bet you find a memory_limit in an unexpected ini file.

WAMPServer 3 makes increasing the memory_limit really easy.

Using the wampmanager menus all you need to do is

• left click wampmanager -> PHP -> PHP Settings -> Memory Limit

This tells you what the memory limit is set to, and provides a selection of other sizes you can pick from. Or use the choose option and enter a valid parameter value of your choise like 2G . I would suggest you start at 256M as even Magento should not need 2GIG.

Then pick a new memory limit size from the menu. Wampserver will then restart Apache to activate the change
