Why is create-react-app slow? Is there a way to speed it up?

Why is npx create-react-app so slow? It takes up to 5 minutes to run (Intel i3, 4GB RAM). Is there a way to speed it up? Can I use some local version that I can just copy and paste? Or can I just create it once and have multiple copies of the same from the next time?

I created react app for the first time. From the second time onwards I am using the copy of the first version. And it has worked well till now
