Laravel 8.0.3 - Can't get data from the database

Question

I am trying to get the data from the posts table but I get an error message:

but I get this error:

Can you test that :

use Illuminate\Support\Facades\DB;
use Illuminate\Http\Request;

class PostsController extends Controller
{
    public function show( $slug ) {
        return response()->json(
            config("database.connections.mysql.database"),
            200
        );
    }
}

It should show your database name (laravel).
If it's not, your .env file is invalid.
