Showing a 404 error when navigating to another page

Question

so I have built a website and I successfully upload it to a shared hosting that uses Plesk the home page loads and it works but whenever I try to navigate to another page I get this error

HTTP Error 404.0 - Not Found

The resource you are looking for has been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.

is their any thing that i can add or change in my.htacceess file

how can I fix this problem

so the problem was I was using Apache on my localhost and my hosting is using IIS the solution is to use web.config file insted of .htaccess
