In my nested VM in azure VM the internet connectivity is not working

I had created azure VM with windows 2019 server gen1.

Then enabled Hyper V feature and provisioned a Ubuntu Hyper-V machine

When I try to turned ON the internet is not connected in that machine. It says 'Activation of network connection failed' error.

My host machine Network and sharing center looks as below

网络与共享中心主机

Adapter settings shown as below

适配器设置

The adapters names are as below

  1. Microsoft Hyper-V Network Adapter
  2. Hyper-V Virtual Ethernet Adapter

Network adapter settings in my Guest Hyper-V machine was as below

网络设置 Hyper-V 机器

But I believe one more adapter is not been listed.

What's wrong here? Why the internet connection is not working in the Hyper-V machine?

In Windows 10 OS we get Default Switch in the Virtual Switch settings by default. In 2019 Windows Sever OS this kind of thing is not there.

When it comes to networking in nested virtualization we need to set-up Hyper-V networking to allow internet access on the nested VMs for that We need to create a HyperV internal switch and we need to set nat rule and gateway for that switch.

Please check this for reference How to Setup Nested Virtualization for Azure VM/VHD and try to setup.
