For this question, please note the boxed (red) text that indicates that instances from within the private su.net can send requests to the inte.net.
Q: Where is the route path for instances in the "private" su.net to get Inte.net access? Wouldn't it need its own gateway for that?

The instances in private su.net access the inte.net through NAT and then through Inte.net Gateway (IGW):
private instance ---> NAT ---> IGW ---> Internet
