Unable to run ruby on rails

Question

I am confused of which whether I didn't download something or the files aren't executable, causing unable to run ruby on rails via git.

I tried 'gem install tzinfo-data'

$ gem install tzinfo-data
Successfully installed tzinfo-data-1.2022.1

and

tried 'gem install tzinfo'

$ gem install tzinfo
Successfully installed tzinfo-2.0.4

1 gem installed

but nothing changes, I still got the same error.

then, i check whether my yarn, nodejs, ruby, rails and git are up to date:

$ rails -v
Rails 7.0.3

$ yarn -v
1.22.19

$ git --version
git version 2.36.1.windows.1

$ node -v
v18.4.0

$ ruby -v
ruby 3.1.2p20 (2022-04-12 revision 4491bb740a) [x64-mingw-ucrt]

and they seems to be up-to-date.

in summary...i think there is either something missing in my gems but i don't know what it is.

Try to bundle this gem from Gemfile instead of directly adding.

Add this to your Gemfile and run bundle install

  # Windows does not include zoneinfo files, so bundle the tzinfo-data gem
  gem 'tzinfo-data', platforms: [:mingw, :mswin, :x64_mingw, :jruby]

first check if tzinfo-data gem is in your gemfile..

it may look something like the below: cat Gemfile | grep tz cat Gemfile | grep tz

# Windows does not include zoneinfo files, so bundle the tzinfo-data gem
gem "tzinfo-data", platforms: %i[ mingw mswin x64_mingw jruby ]

try running:

bundle install

solution 2:

1. first rename your Gemfile to old.Gemfile mv Gemfile old.Gemfile
2. then touch Gemfile
3. then bundle clean ( this will reinstall the gems)
4. remove gemfile and rename old one

rm Gemfile
mv old.Gemfile Gemfile

5. finally bundle install
