Hi guys can someone please direct me on how to hide a div that is inside another div tag? I am using javascript...this is what i have so far:
function hideShowQuestionDivs() {
var drpQuestions = document.getElementById('<%= drpNumQuestions.ClientID %>');
if (drpQuestions.selectedIndex == 0) {
document.getElementById('one').parentNode.removeChild;
document.getElementById('2').style.display = 'none';
document.getElementById('3').style.display = 'none';
}
if (drpQuestions.selectedIndex == 1) {
document.getElementById('2').style.display = 'none';
document.getElementById('3').style.display = 'none';
}
if (drpQuestions.selectedIndex == 2) {
document.getElementById('3').style.display = 'none';
}
}
This is an example of the HTML:

This is how you can hide the child div
$('#parentDivID > #childDivID').hide();
and this is how you can show the child div
$('#parentDivID > #childDivID').show();
make sure you have jquery script included in your page..
basically you need to select the element you need to hide/show and in jquery you can do this using CSS selectors. and then call the.show() or.hide() methods on them
