Adapter for Web Services In ESB

enter link description here As shown In the picture from the link,adapter-c publishes a web service named webservice-3,when a client invoke it ,adapter-c intercept the message and send it to adapter-A and adapter-B through ESB,then adapter-A and adapter-B call webservice-1 and webservice-2 separately ,then they send response to ESB where has a aggregator merge the response and send it to adapter-C,At last the adapter send the merged response to the real client!

i have ever asked such a question,and someone say such a process is possible!

but i want to know if adapter-A and adapter-B invoke the web service failed ,they will got a fault response,but each fault code may different,then how adapter-c deal with the fault message to let the client got a fault message ?

IBM websphere esb , mule esb or servermix esb .etc ,does any one know how one of the esbs deal with such a problem?
