WebSocket协议有很多功能，而不仅仅是原始套接字连接，这就是您的脚本试图完成的工作。

有适用于PHP的websocket服务器库。 我建议使用Ratchet 。 这个库是一个很棒的实现。

如果您真的想自己实现WebSockets，则可能需要根据需要查看RFC 6455或其他标准之一。
