Adding items to a Paypal shopping cart

Question

I'm attempting to set up my first online shop and I've looked at http://simplecartjs.org/ and http://minicartjs.com/ - but without any decent tutorials; I decided to look into making my own, which will be better in the long run as it will be more flexible to do what I need, but I can't figure out how to send items to a Paypal shopping cart.

I can create a shopping cart on my website and tally up costs and wot-not, but when I click check out, I don't know how to send my shopping cart data to Paypal to allow the transaction to go on there (or in a lightbox on top of my website).

I'm asking for the knowledge of either a decent tutorial with pre-made shopping carts or how to add items to a shopping cart with just javascript.

You will send Post Data to Paypal. See their examples for some ideas.
