How to get current location?

Below code shows errors:

  1. In the manifest file at android:icon="@drawable/ic_launcher"

  2. In my MainActivity file, it shows 'R' cannot find a symbol.

This is my MainActivity file:

    setContentView(R.layout.activity_main);
    GPSTracker mGPS = new GPSTracker(this);

    TextView text = (TextView) findViewById(R.id.texts);
    if(mGPS.canGetLocation ){
        mGPS.getLocation();
        text.setText("Lat"+mGPS.getLatitude()+"Lon"+mGPS.getLongitude());
    }else{
        text.setText("Unabletofind");
        System.out.println("Unable");
    }
}

You must import your R class in your Activity like :

import com.example.mainactivity.R

This class contains all your resource ids, for more informations : Resources

Sometimes you get the 'R' error when you have an XML issue that prevents the R file from being generated so it doesn't exist when the compiler is trying to compile the java file. A good indicator is if the R.java file exists in the /gen directory.

My experience is that Eclipse isn't as robust as one would wish in reporting the XML errors.
