Changing default selected item for a Navigation Drawer (Android - Java)

I am in the process of developing an Android app using Eclipse. I created a new project and created an activity with the Navigation Drawer.

My problem is straightforward: How can I change the default selected item of the Navigation Drawer from the 1st to the 2nd when I open the app?

http://prntscr.com/6h42s2 Here is a screenshot when I open the app. I would like 'Hospitals' (Item3) to be selected by default rather than 'Help Screen' (Item1).

I am pasting my code for the Main Activity - Hospitals.java. I have tried but I am unable to find a solution for this problem. Any help or assistance in the right direction is appreciated.

Thanks, A

public class Hospitals extends Activity
        implements NavigationDrawerFragment.NavigationDrawerCallbacks {

    /**
     * Fragment managing the behaviors, interactions and presentation of the navigation drawer.
     */

    /**
     * Used to store the last screen title. For use in {@link #restoreActionBar()}.
     */
    private CharSequence mTitle;

        mNavigationDrawerFragment = (NavigationDrawerFragment)
                getFragmentManager().findFragmentById(R.id.navigation_drawer);
        mTitle = getTitle();

        // Set up the drawer.
        mNavigationDrawerFragment.setUp(
                R.id.navigation_drawer,
                (DrawerLayout) findViewById(R.id.drawer_layout));

            return rootView;
        }

        @Override

            super.onAttach(activity);
            ((Hospitals) activity).onSectionAttached(
                    getArguments().getInt(ARG_SECTION_NUMBER));
        }
    }

}

If you are using the default NavigationDrawerFragment , you're likely to have something like this :

private int mCurrentSelectedPosition = 0;

@Override
public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) {
    super.onCreate(savedInstanceState);

    // Read in the flag indicating whether or not the user has demonstrated awareness of the
    // drawer. See PREF_USER_LEARNED_DRAWER for details.
    SharedPreferences sp = PreferenceManager.getDefaultSharedPreferences(getActivity());
    mUserLearnedDrawer = sp.getBoolean(PREF_USER_LEARNED_DRAWER, false);

    if (savedInstanceState != null) {
        mCurrentSelectedPosition = savedInstanceState.getInt(STATE_SELECTED_POSITION);
        mFromSavedInstanceState = true;
    }

    // Select either the default item (0) or the last selected item.
    selectItem(mCurrentSelectedPosition);
}

Simply change the mCurrentSelectedPosition property to 2 to have the third element selected (count starts at 0);
