Spring Boot Eureka server dashboard error

I have been trying to learn microservice development with spring boot and netflix oss.

I have been stuck with this eureka dashboard error for two days now and i can not seem to fix it. please help. I have a single discovery client instance and the server is in standalone mode This is how the dashboard looks like

Here is the server main class

package com.example;

import org.springframework.boot.SpringApplication;
import org.springframework.boot.autoconfigure.SpringBootApplication;
import org.springframework.cloud.netflix.eureka.server.EnableEurekaServer;

@SpringBootApplication
@EnableEurekaServer

public class EurekaApplication {

    public static void main(String[] args) {
        SpringApplication.run(EurekaApplication.class, args);
    }
}

conf files application.yml

server:
  port: 8761

eureka:
  instance:
    hostname: localhost
  client:
    registerWithEureka: false
    fetchRegistry: false
    serviceUrl:
     defaultZone: ${eureka.instance.hostname}:${server.port}/eureka/
    server:
      waitTimeInMsWhenSyncEmpty: 0

bootstrap.yml

The problem was with my application.yml file serviceUrl property value had a typo. I forgot to include http:// before the eureka.instance.hostname

Here is the fixed yaml

eureka:
  instance:
    hostname: localhost
  client:
    registerWithEureka: false
    fetchRegistry: false
    serviceUrl:
     defaultZone: http://${eureka.instance.hostname}:${server.port}/eureka/
    server:
      waitTimeInMsWhenSyncEmpty: 0

It was never an issue with Brixton.RC1

No need to add spring-milestone as dependency as you are using release version.Its used only when you are using M version.See spring boot official doc for more details.Your code looks fine.It should work.Specify the error you are getting.Here is pom.xml and .yml file i am using which works.:
