SSH in bash script still prompts password while ssh on command-line authenticates with key

Question

I configured a SSH connection between two stations by generating public keys on each station and copying them to the other station. Now I can connect from one station to another without password, but if I want to write a bash script to connect with ssh it still asks for password. What should I do such that after running the script I won't be asked for the password?

Edit: added script. I'm on station1 and I want to connect to station2 (host).

Your script runs under a root account:

So it won't use the keys of the user account.

We do not know, how you run the script.

But maybe you can run it using the su or the sudo :

su - user -c /home/user/script.sh

or in your ~/.ssh/config, add text like this

Host foobar

    User root
    IdentityFile ~/.ssh/id_rsa

now，you can login like this
