wp-login.php, file doesn't login to Dashboard, but redirects to homepage (Wordpress)

Question

I have a problem with my Wordpress site, namely logging in to the admin dashboard seems impossible. Anytime I do that, it takes me to the site's homepage but before this, I can't create a new page. I have tried these solutions but still no change:

1. Cleared cookies

2. Uploaded a new wp-login.php file

3. Disabled plugins and theme

4. Edited the wp_user for admin

5. defined my homepage url in my wp-config file

Note: There is no .htaccess file in my wp root directory Anything to help please, my client's really impatient

After going through other options all I had to do was:

Look for my .htaccess file(if hidden, make it visible) and delete it. Then after getting through to your admin area update your permalink
