SSL server/client issue

I have found an SSL server/client online but it does not seem to work. I generated both the key and the certificate , but I get the following error:

Does anyone have any clues towards why is this happening ? Thank you.

ps The problematic part is debugged with "<----" for convenience.

You define self.ssl_sock inside of try: ... except... and this failed, therefore self.ssl_sock does not exist.

Change to the following:
