How to run the script in Mysql Workbench?

My mysql workbench script is this but i couldn't execute it. The button doesn't even shows active. I believe you are not connected to the database. Once you have established a connection, the schema's area would start showing available schema's and tables in the DB.

After that, if you press the "lightning" button, it would all the code inside the text-area box. Otherwise, you can highlight and press the lightning button to execute only specific portions of the script.
