recycler view on bottom of the screen

Question

I have an RecyclerView that is stuck to the bottom of the screen. I have tried adding constraints but that does not help. If anyone can help it would be appreciated. My code and an image to show whats wrong is below.

1. Set your LinearLayout height match_parent
2. Check your toolbar height should be wrap_content
3. Important: Your RecyclerView item layout'parent element should be wrap_content .
