Failed to convert message exception with RabbitMQ source + Log sink stream

Question

I'm trying out Spring Cloud Data Flow and today I updated to the latest versions and since that I'm not able to create this simple example which should simple log the AMQP message...

When I deploy this stream and simply publish a String message on the consumed queue, this works ok. But when it is a serialized PoJo it does not. The older versions of the data flow server + started apps based on spring boot 1.5.x did just do this.

There were significant changes and enhancements in content type negotiation in Spring Cloud Stream 2.*. You can read up on it here https://docs.spring.io/spring-cloud-stream/docs/Fishtown.BUILD-SNAPSHOT/reference/htmlsingle/#content-type-management . Basically what I am seeing is that you don't have an appropriate MessageConverter in the stack. Also, from what I see your content type is text/json for which we do not provide a converter. Consider changing it to application/json .
