spring mvc project does not return jsp page HTTP Status 404

Question

Lauching my app leads to: Description The origin server did not find a current representation for the target resource or is not willing to disclose that one exists.. I'm using tomcat 9.0;

I have tried to launch tomcat 7, but error remained the same.

if i´m not wrong you need to set a directory inside your templates called error where you got to place the 404.jsp file. I´m not sure if that is the answer but that´s how it works for me in spring-boot.
