How do I install MatPlotLib

Question

I may be a complete idiot.

I've been trying to install MatPlotLib, and whenever I enter the command pip install matplotlib I get an error "invalid syntax. Perhaps you forgot a comma?"

I've installed pip from get-pip.py, so I know it's not that. What am I doing wrong?

This is a bug in python. Reference: https://bugs.python.org/issue45801

I will suggest you to try older version or newer version where this bug is fixed.
