Can we implement Azure managed Identity between two Azure web app?

Question

We have two azure web apps which are using Azure AD App Registration for authentication and authorization. As part of improving the security we are planning to implement this using managed identity.

I know we can use managed identity for connecting to Database and Key Vaults. Can we use the same for connecting between web apps:
