Android/Java How do you add linear layout to fragment?

Im currently working on an app but I need help. How can I have it where you have a list where when you press an item it goes to its discription. how can i get what you get when you press layout.

I have the tabs but i cant get list. here's the main activity code.

I think you are looking for an out of the box solution. I had to do the same thing recently and I did not find an out of the box solution. What did I do? I created an invisible view with an alpha animation and when users click on my listview I start the animation and show the populated view with the contents.

There are other ways of doing this by creating a custom dialog and inflating the view from an xml file.

Easier is if you don't need interaction with the description view, then you can use a Toast with a modified view and set a time for your users to read.
