Getting XML File as a value from SOAP response <BooksResult>xml</BooksResult>

Question

I'm getting an xml file as a value from .net webservice like shown here

    HTTP/1.1 200 OK
Content-Type: text/xml; charset=utf-8
Content-Length: length

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<soap:Envelope xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">

I'm reltivly new to android and i'm wondering is there a way to handle this file and read the data from it?? Or should I just use some primitive types instead of a xml file??

You Need First 3 primary method :

Method 1 :

Using :

NodeList nodes = doc.getElementsByTagName(yourTAG); //TAG you want to get as String
ArrayList<String> TAGS=new ArrayList<String>();
for (int i = 0; i < nodes.getLength(); i++) {
Element e = (Element) nodes.item(i);
TAGS.add(getValue(e,yourTAG.toString());
}

Now you can use "TAGS"

And Always Remember 'StrictMode.setThreadPolicy' before everything :
