Gem::Ext::BuildError: ERROR: Failed to build gem native extension, An error occurred while installing json (1.8.1)

Question

I have cloned a repository from gitlab. And when I try to run

bundle install

it gives an error

Installing json 1.8.1 with native extensions

Gem files will remain installed in /home/crypsis/.gem/ruby/gems/json-1.8.1 for inspection.

An error occurred while installing json (1.8.1), and Bundler cannot continue.
Make sure that `gem install json -v '1.8.1'` succeeds before bundling.

I tried with

bundle update and gem install bundler

still not working.If anyone faced similar problem please help me.

Try with installing cmake gem

sudo apt-get install cmake

sudo yum install cmake
