i am trying to perform insert operation from hibernate into the oracle table. my stored procedure is:-

now i tried to pass date parameter as new Date()
or sqldate
like given above. and query.setParameter("P_SUBMISSIONLASTDATE", sqlDate,TemporalType.Date);

One possible solution is to use a java.sql.timestamp instead of java.sql.Date. Also you can refer to SQL and PL/SQL Mappings to Oracle and JDBC Types in order to verify the correct data type mapping.
This is an example of how get java.sql.timestamp
java.util.Date utilDate = new java.util.Date();
Calendar cal = Calendar.getInstance();
cal.setTime(utilDate);
cal.set(Calendar.MILLISECOND, 0);
System.out.println(new java.sql.Timestamp(utilDate.getTime()));
System.out.println(new java.sql.Timestamp(cal.getTimeInMillis()));
