installing cassandra-driver on linux so that I can connect to cassandra from python

I am trying to install cassandra driver on my linux box so that I can connect to cassandra cluster from Python but I got below error:

david@hostname:~$ sudo pip install cassandra-driver

Can anyone tell me what's wrong and how can I fix it? I have Python 2.7.12 running.

It's a permissions issue with the .cache directory. Try running the command with sudo -H
