how to install pytorch in python2.7?

i am using python2.7 in virtual environment. i tried to install pytorch in python2.7 but i got error belows:

 UnsatisfiableError: The following specifications were found to be incompatible with the existing python installation in your environment: - pytorch-cpu -> python[version='3.5.*|3.6.*'] - pytorch-cpu -> python[version='>=3.5,<3.6.0a0|>=3.6,<3.7.0a0|>=3.7,<3.8.0a0'] If python is on the left-most side of the chain, that's the version you've asked for. When python appears to the right, that indicates that the thing on the left is somehow not available for the python version you are constrained to. Your current python version is (python=2.7). plz help:)

Here's the link to the PyTorch official download page

From here, you can choose the python version (2.7) and CUDA (None) and other relevant details based on your environment and OS.

Other helpful links:

It seems that pytorch try to install some packages which requires python >= 3.6 version.

Package wheel conflicts for:
python=2.7 -> pip -> wheel
pytorch-cpu -> python[version='>=3.6,<3.7.0a0'] -> pip -> wheel

You have to specify in command for which python version would you like to install pytorch

For me the method in the link https://www.learnopencv.com/installing-deep-learning-frameworks-on-ubuntu-with-cuda-support/ worked.

This is how I did it:

!pip install http://download.pytorch.org/whl/cu80/torch-0.2.0.post3-cp27-cp27mu-manylinux1_x86_64.whl

First install conda with python2.7:
conda install pytorch torchvision torchaudio cpuonly -c pytorch

Then activate environment:
conda activate python2

Then install pytorch:
conda install pytorch torchvision torchaudio cpuonly -c pytorch

Check for confirmation:

python
import torch
print(torch._ _version_ _)
