PredicateBuilder does not work with Where clause

I just copied the following source code

Then, I am using it as below

pb.And(x => x.Id > 500);
pb.And(x => x.FirstName.StartsWith("A", StringComparison.OrdinalIgnoreCase));

IEnumerable<Person> result = people.Where(pb.ToFunc()).ToList();

But the people and result are the same!. There is no filtering in final result. Did I miss something?

Instead of:

pb.And(x => x.Id > 500);

write

pb = pb.And(x => x.Id > 500);

And change next call as well. Or you can simply have methods stacked:

var pb = PredicateBuilder.True<Person>()
   .And(x => x.Id > 500)
   .And(x => x.FirstName.StartsWith("A", StringComparison.OrdinalIgnoreCase));
